Awasi Patagonia
A private lodge near Torres del Paine
In one of the most remote and dramatic landscapes on Earth, Awasi Patagonia offers an intimate way to experience the raw beauty of Chilean Patagonia. Set on a private reserve near Torres del Paine National Park, the lodge invites guests into a world defined by vast skies, powerful winds, and a deep sense of stillness, where exploration is guided not by schedules, but by curiosity and connection to the land.

Overview
Awasi Patagonia occupies a privileged position overlooking Lake Sarmiento and the granite towers of Torres del Paine. Sheltered by native lenga and ñirre forest, the lodge sits within its own private reserve, offering a sense of seclusion that is increasingly rare in this iconic region. The landscape is vast and elemental, shaped by wind, light, and seasonal change. Condors circle overhead, guanacos cross the plains, and the horizon feels endlessly open.
The architecture of Awasi Patagonia is intentionally restrained, inspired by traditional Patagonian shelters and historic outposts. Fourteen private villas are dispersed across the reserve, each positioned between fifty and four hundred meters from the main lodge to ensure privacy and uninterrupted views. Interiors are warm and understated, using native woods, natural textures, and muted tones that echo the surrounding environment. The design creates a sense of refuge after long days outdoors, without ever feeling disconnected from the landscape.
What defines the Awasi experience is its fully tailor-made approach to exploration. Each villa is assigned a private guide and a dedicated 4WD vehicle, allowing guests to shape each day according to personal interests, pace, and energy. Excursions range from iconic hikes within Torres del Paine to lesser-known trails, wildlife encounters, horseback riding across open steppe, and scenic drives through remote valleys. The absence of fixed schedules allows for spontaneity, weather-driven decisions, and moments of quiet discovery.
Back at the lodge, cuisine follows Awasi’s Relais & Châteaux philosophy, highlighting local ingredients and Patagonian flavors prepared with refinement and simplicity. Meals are adapted to individual preferences and often reflect the day’s explorations. Evenings are unhurried, shaped by conversation, changing light, and the deep sense of calm that defines life at the edge of the world. Awasi Patagonia is not about conquering nature, but about learning how to move within it.

Getting There
Awasi Patagonia arranges private land transfers from Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, or El Calafate. The journey takes between two and five hours, depending on the starting point, and becomes increasingly remote and dramatic as you approach the national park.
